We’ve added a new item to Ready's Admin menu, labeled “Enabled Features”.
By selecting this option you will be able to review any improvements to Ready or newly released features as we announce them.
Once selected, you can turn on the available new improvements or features, by selecting the feature, and from the dropdown box to the right, select the option, “Enable for Myself”. We’ll always announce a new feature or improvement, so you’ll know when one is available.
Secondly, along with this addition to the Admin menu, we are also releasing a change to improve Ready’s key section organization (top navigation bar), and to collect more complete and useful information for key contacts.
This change will move three contact areas from the “Key Resources” section to a newly created section that is titled "Contacts".
The contact areas that we are moving into the new "Contacts" section are: Key People, Staff of Other Units, and Stakeholders.
We have also changed the names of these three headings as follows:
- Key People is now Department Staff (staff within the department and covered by the plan activities)
- Staff of Other Units is now Key University Contacts (contacts outside of the department but within the university, whom the department may need to contact for assistance during an emergency event, i.e., public safety, procurement, HR)
- Stakeholders is now Key External Contacts (external to the university, i.e., vendors, agencies, grantors, etc.)
All data currently in Ready directly correlates with this change and no data migration is necessary. However, we have added fields to collect additional data; some examples are fields for phone, alternate phone, office email, and alternate email. We have also updated the "Guidance" verbiage.
As mentioned above, to activate this change you will need to go into the “Enabled Features” item from the Admin menu and select “Enable for Myself” from the drop-down list. This change is only available to Ready Administrators unless you select to turn it on for all your users, which you may do at your discretion.
The contacts reorganization will be turned on for all users on November 27th.
Keep in mind, that if you haven't updated your Admin list, based on recent communication, this change will be viewable for all assigned admins at your institution.
